The beach wedding preparations

On October 2, 2023, I was the wedding photographer for Amber and Boudewijn. It was a beautiful day, full of love and happiness. Amber had her preparations at the Hotel Des Indes in The Hague. Sally-Jane did her makeup, and she had help from three close friends. They were all a little nervous, but they were also very happy to see each other. There was lots of laughter and even some shards for good luck as one of the glasses broke.

Boudewijn was very busy that morning so he got dressed in just a few minutes, with help from his mother. He was also a little nervous like Amber, but Charlie was there to comfert him ;)

The beach wedding ceremony

The ceremony took place at beach club Titus in Kijkduin. It was an intimate ceremony, with only close family and friends in attendance. Mark van Leeuwen led this wonderfull ceremony and a friend also had beautiful loving words for the couple. Amber and Boudewijn exchanged the most loving vows and rings, to top things off with a pationate first kiss!

The rings were brought by their dog, Charley

Charley, Amber and Boudewijn's dog, was the star of the ceremony. He was eager the whole time and brought the rings after the vows and the "I do's". During the first kiss, Charlie also participated by himself with a doggy kiss for his mom and dad! :)

 

 

A short photo shoot on the beach

After the ceremony, there was time for congratulations, group photos, and a short photo shoot on the beach. The sun was just setting, and it was a beautiful moment to capture the love of Amber and Boudewijn. Ofcourse Charlie had to be in some of the wedding shots. Charley got so many kisses, can you spot the lipstic on his head?

A fantastic wedding dinner at Oker

The day ended with champagne, cake, speeches from both dads and a fantastic dinner at Restaurant Oker in The Hague. It was a perfect ending to a perfect day.
